about

Pete Siers, Andrew Bishop and Tad Weed have been collaborating and active in the
Detroit music scene since the mid-1990s. A shared passion for unconventional
improvisation provides balance in their musical endeavors. The respect and trust
that these three share for each others` musical instincts has freed them to embrace
uncertainty and explore the unknown.
The trio`s remarkable ability to spontaneously create something wonderful, regardless
of form and structure, is their greatest distinction and has resulted in some of
their most memorable performances.
Pete says, “The freedom and synergy within this trio reminds us why we chose to play music. Important parallels between life and creating improvised music are clear:
being open-minded, connection to ones` roots, remaining vulnerable to what happens around us as we look for similarities and contrast, and reacting without judgement.”
Tad is best known as a superb jazz pianist. His use of the electronic organ on this
recording expanded the trio`s sound-scape and inspired them to explore new vistas
on their fantastic musical journey.
Unknowingly, this was the last time the trio would play together. Tad Weed died
in August 2018, a mere three months after this recording was made. Pete reflects with gratitude, “This and our many rewarding collaborations with Tad have truly been ”. Pete
